Did you miss 30 September?

The return for tax year 2026 was due on 30 September 2026. If you did not file, file as soon as you can. Late filing stops the penalty from growing, and it is what puts you on the ATL. Read income tax return last date in Pakistan for what it costs, and how to become a tax filer for the route to the ATL.

Monthly: the sales tax cycle

If you are registered for sales tax, Annex-C goes up first, then payment, then the return, every month, with a nil return in quiet months. The detail and a worked example are in sales tax return filing in Pakistan.

Quarterly: withholding statements

If you deduct tax from payments, a statement is due by the 20th after each quarter, even when you deducted nothing. See withholding tax statement in Pakistan for who files and the penalty.

Yearly: returns and the wealth statement

Individuals and AOPs file by 30 September for the tax year that ended on 30 June. Companies with a 30 June year end file by 31 December. The wealth statement goes in with an individual's return. Start gathering papers in July, using this document checklist, so September is not a rush.
